What to Expect

Entering therapy is a courageous step. I offer a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow. I provide both in-person sessions and HIPAA-compliant telehealth options to support your comfort and accessibility.

Our work together is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace. While I primarily work through the lens of IFS, when appropriate, I do draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to support your healing in a way that feels both grounded and meaningful to you. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong focus on mindfulness and somatic-based practices that help reconnect the body and mind and support deeper regulation and awareness.

I’m continually expanding my understanding of how we develop, adapt, and heal as human beings. This commitment to ongoing learning has led me to advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, as well as ongoing education in the areas of anxiety, addiction, trauma, and attachment. I bring this knowledge into the therapy space with deep respect for your lived experience and an unwavering belief in the possibility of change.

Therapeutic Relationship

At the heart of meaningful therapy is a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe this connection is the primary foundation for healing and the most important factor in the success of the therapy process. As your therapist, I see you as the expert on your own experience—you are the driving force in this work, and my role is to support and guide you as we navigate your unique healing path together.

Even if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what’s beneath your distress, that’s okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll create space to slow down, listen inward, and identify the trailheads—the starting points that lead us toward the parts of you that are ready to be seen, understood, and healed.

Frequency of Sessions

The frequency of sessions is something we’ll decide together, based on what feels most supportive for your needs and goals. If our early work feels like a good fit, there’s always flexibility to scale up or down as needed. Your healing journey is unique, and we’ll adjust the rhythm of our work to align with where you are in the process.

Session Duration

Each session lasts 50 minutes with the last few minutes set aside for wrapping up, addressing any questions/concerns, and taking care of any necessary housekeeping.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship and essential to creating a space where trust can grow. I am deeply committed to honoring that trust by protecting your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality of our work together.

There are, however, a few important exceptions: if there is a clear risk to your safety or the safety of others, if a child may be experiencing abuse or neglect (as I am a mandated reporter), or if I am legally required to share information in specific circumstances. All of these guidelines and exceptions will be outlined in detail in the privacy disclosure you’ll receive when we begin our work together.

Duration of Treatment

The duration of therapy is not one-size-fits-all and doesn’t follow a fixed timeline. Instead, it’s something we’ll determine together, based on your needs, goals, and how the process unfolds over time. Some people come to therapy for support during a specific season of life, while others choose to engage in deeper, longer-term work.

I’m here to walk alongside you for as long as it feels helpful—whether that’s a few months or over the course of years—until you feel you've reached the goals we’ve set together and are ready to move forward with confidence.

Rates & Billing

The current rate for a session is $160.

I am in network with Anthem/BCBS and Sentara. You are responsible for any copays or, if on a deductible plan, the full reimbursement rate until your deductible is met. This rate varies depending on the insurance carrier.

Payment is due on the date of service. I accept all major credit cards, including HSA/FSA accounts.
